TV blanket

....I think someone at the True Blood office has been sneaking a peak at my blog because they have done it again, another blanket, and this time it's a waffle stitch blanket which I was looking into seeing if I could do it
Waffle stitch done in crochet
and what looks to be a blanket that is split up into
four sections. in this second photo you can see that there is a little more detail.

LaLa looking loved up :)....oh and the blanket too
With the third screen shot, I just like the dressing gown, its very bright ;)......and you can see the variegated better.
c'est une jolie robe de chambre

These shots are from season 3 but Season 2 of True Blood will be starting soon in the UK on the 9th September at 10.30pm on FX, so there will be a treat, there is Maryann, the maenad, Godric, the 2,000 year old vampire, Eggs and more development with Sam and his family.

[edit] sorry for double posting this blanket, I was just so excited about it :)

Now this was also another shock, I have been a massive fan of  Psych since season one (now in season five) and even though I haven't ventured out to get the green cover for the iPhone, I have the bobble head app that always tickles me when feeling a bit out of sorts, so imagine my surprise when they had a lovely yellow knitted blanket just slung over a chair [pic]with Meredith Munroe who throughout the episode I was trying to work out where I had seen her from, then it came to me - okay, I looked it up on IMDB and she was on Dawson's Creek, playing Andie McPee, Pacey's girlfriend and Jack's sister, I was an avid fan when it came out and never missed an episode, I was sad that it finished but it had a nice little wrapped up ending, and sorry Joshua Jackson, but I can't watch Fringe, it's rubbish! ...... anyway the blanket

You see the lovely paneling for the blanket, it looks like its an all in one - now won't I look foolish if it's a shop bought one ;)
Maybe some sort of cabling?
If there is no one who has not seen Psych, you need to see it, it is lighthearted, funny and a requirement for my TV that I can knit/crochet while not missing too much - well, I don't mind watching it again as Mr Roday and Mr Hill are easy on the eyes, let's hope that USA can find it in their hearts to find a network that I get like FIVEUS, so I can watch it on normal TV!!

A close up
So, I also have a Christmas/Thanksgiving episode of Cal Lightman in his grey and red scarf, it is very fetching ;)
And Emily's hat is also very pretty.

The blanket in True Blood

There seems to be a whole load of blankets in True blood but there is one particular one that Lafayette is wrapped around that does look rather nice - I think my new thing is finding blankets that I could crochet.

The learning curve is getting better and the circles don't look as messy as it was when I first started, still not been out to get some batteries for the camera, need to get some before we go visiting the relatives.

The way things have gone this week.

Fun, fun, fun, in the sun sun sun, well not exactly in Sheffield, we have pretty much have had our summer, well it looks like it, rain and more rain for the rest of the week icon_cry anyway it's of other stuff has been happening like the
San Diego Comic Con now over, lots of panels I would have loved to have seen, Smallville, Dollhouse & Dr Who, there were a whole load more but I couldn't go through them all now. Some of the panels are up on YouTube, so here is one that there is a buzz around.

And here are some random thoughts:
Being a lady of a certain age, I am always amazed that there are new artists/bands and the like with stupid names like Lady GaGa, now is it an appropriate name or is she just a media seeker?
...I really hate Silverlight not working on my Mac, I know it's a Microsoft application but surely there isn't just me with a Mac and others would like to experience the joy of watching shows from BBC,ITV C4, even Five hasn't got a system in place to be compatible with Macs.
My Guilty pleasure Young Dumb and living off mum is truely a horrendous show it's like a car wreck that you can't but watch in disbelief as it unfolds, Farmville on facebook is another addiction of mine - I don't know how long it will last probably till I get to Level 50. Went on the xBox360 and found a game I was slightly addictive, called The Maw all about you as an alien and Space invaders extreme which I haven't played yet, but I guess it's more of the same, just faster Photobucket

Okay, I'm a fraud, I said that I couldn't watch True Blood because of all the sex bits but I've nearly seen it to the end of season one.

On the bonus side of it I have finished my cushion...

1x04 Escape from Dragon House
1x05 Sparks Fly Out
1x06 Cold Ground
1x07 Burning House Of Love
1x08 The Fourth Man In The Fire
1x09 Plaisir D'Amour
1x10 I Don't Wanna Know
1x11 To Love Is To Bury
1x12 You'll Be The Death Of Me

True Blood 1x01

A new show, and opportunity to watch it. True Blood is all about a girl, that's a waitress in a bar, who has a fascination with a new vampire that has come into town....true enough it's no Buffy, but if they can get rid of, for me, graphic sex, the cello music every time the vampire comes on the screen and is that a belt or a skirt that Sookie is wearing?! having said that, I think it will be a very good contender for the vampire genre, at least a whole lot better than Vampire in Brooklyn, with Eddie Murphy.

The first part before the credits starts rolling made me laugh out loud, really, the fangs were ridiculous. I hope that there is more humour like that, I think the point that was that anybody can be a vampire, even rednecks.

The actors are pretty good, there is an English actor who plays the lead vampire Bill, Sookie the waitress, the Brother, Jason, AKA Vinnie Patterson from Home and Away, (sorry not really knowing what his really name is) & Alan Ball who can do no wrong in my eyes as he created & wrote Six Feet Under and wrote for Cybil, so it's all good :)
