I

I have been desperate to be going over to The Wool Baa just to get the 4mm ergonomic crochet hook,  for the experience of it, I had heard so many lovely things about this hook that I felt that I should at least try it, although I have been looking longingly at the Hamanaka hooks too, anyway, I went in and they had them, just screaming out "Buy me, I'll be wonderful". So I thought that I might enquire also about some Noro sock wool, this as well  I had good things, I went to it and looked at the price (I think I might have gasped) and put it quickly back
- Yes I think I will have to take a morgage out for it!!
I know I'm building my stash up but I couldn't justify that, so I looked around, thought I shouldn't buy any more sock wool because I still haven't finished my first pair yet, but I did have some wool left over from the boy who loves Dennis the menace's blanket, which I have the idea to make a pair if socks for 'im upstairs, still hoping for the motivation for it....so I bought 4mm DPN's for it and the wool that I have been looking forward to using is cascade 220, the colour I wasn't too keen on but I thought that it would come in handy for the little one and she does love the  colour . Verdict: I am not to keen on how they wind the wool, why just not put it in a ball? it will be a whole lot easier, or do you need people to buy ball winders? Nice price, shame about the colour ;)

Since the kids are on Easter holidays, I always struggle to find something nice for them to do as normally the weather is so awful that we end up staying in, so I was busy messing around with the beads that were just sitting in my jar, well it was a complete hit, so  I am expecting by the end of the holidays that they will have bracelets all up their arms, it's a whole new bling - that will be nice, won't it ;)
I also found that there is a new bead shop that has opened up in Sheffield, called JamjarBeads I have yet to make a visit, I just have a nightmare sinario where the kids get in there and act like bulls - you can see it now, it will be a little like this:

I also have been getting going with the not so scrap blanket, what do you think?

Not too long to go for the second season of Glee, there have already been a whole load of spoilers which I have not been able to miss.

You know the other stuff, like
Films: Nanny McPhee and the big bang which the kids are really excited about, I hope that we will get to the cinema to see it but more than likely we will need to wait till it comes out on DVD, A film written by David Baddiel which sounds facinating. The is called The Infidel and it's about a muslim man, who finds out that he was adopted and that his parents were Jewish. This sounds a wonderful promise for a film and I can't wait to see it.This week has been hard because I have been trying to get the kids to watch any film on the TV, but today I managed to watch 'Cheaper By The Dozen' and I must say it is watchable considering it's the second time that I have seen it although I don't know if I should admit this or not but I got confused between Ashton Kutcher and Tom Welling, does that make me old? I think it does.

TV: We watched the new Johnathan Creek special, it is slightly disturbing because now that I have seen so many Qi's (Thank you Dave!) that I can't get the fact that he doesn't win very much, although this week, I think that Stephen Fry felt sorry for him and gave him the winning points. New Dr Who, am I soft in the head? everyone is raving how wonderful it is and I saw the episode and it did not grab me at all but I'm sure I will be the first one to turn round and be really disappointed when it does finish - yes it will finish, I'm pretty certain that its the last Doctor. It is Canon!
New Glee, now due to the awkwardness of the American system of how they do their television, I thought it was a new season, but apparently they were on a break!(flashbacks to Friends) and the rest of the season will be back soon. Now I already know that Neil Patrick Harris and Olivia Newton John will be in this part, so hereis some other select castings that I think will be ideal for the show. These are probably set in stone but it's nice to imagine :)
  • Rick Moranis playing Artie's Dad
  • Nathan Fillion playing a love forlorn ex of Emma's
  • Bruce Willis playing school official on the side of Sue
  • J-lo playing Satana's drunk mother
  • Antonio Banderas playing Santana's father
  • Val Kilmer playing a Grandpa
  • Joey Laurence, playing an older brother of Puck
  • Michael BublĂ© playing (not sure about this, not seen him acting as he is mainly a singer)
  • Jamie Foxx as one of Rachel's dads
  • Lucy Liu playing Tina's mum
Books: I am half way through The picture of Dorian Gray but I have got the books so far of the Sookie Stackhouse  series, and am really looking forward to it.

Sadly but I guess it's the time when we get older, as a friend of my dad recently passed away, my thoughts go to the family, even though I don't know them that well, they were good friends when they were younger. RIP.
